● Biochemistry:
Mode of action is believed to be the same as for fenpiclonil. Possibly by inhibition of transport-associated phosphorylation of glucose (A. B. K. Jespers & M. A. de Waard, Pestic. Sci., 44,167 (1995)).
● Mode of Action:
Non-systemic foliar fungicide. Inhibits mycelial growth. Fludioxonil inhibits the transfer of glucose phosphorylation and inhibits the growth of fungal mycelium, ultimately leading to the death of the pathogen. Its mode of action is unique, and there is no cross-resistance to existing fungicides. The international antimicrobial resistance action group FRAC believes that Fludioxonil’s mode of action is to affect the activity of histidine kinase related to osmotic pressure regulation signals.
● Uses:
Seed treatment for control of Gibberella in rice and to control Fusarium, Rhizoctonia, Tilletia, Helminthosporium, and Septoria in both cereal and non-cereal crops. Also used as a foliar fungicide for control of Botrytis, Monilia, Sclerotinia, Rhizoctonia, and Alternaria in grapes, stone fruit, vegetables, field crops, turf and ornamentals.
Fludioxonil is a broad-spectrum contact fungicide, used for seed treatment, can prevent most of the seed-borne fungi and soil-borne fungal diseases. It is stable in the soil, in the seeds and seedlings to form a protected zone in the rhizosphere, to prevent the invasion of pathogens. The utility model has a novel structure and is not easy to cross-resist with other fungicides.

Crops: wheat, barley, corn, cotton, peanuts, flax, potatoes, etc..
● Control diseases:
Wheat smut fungus, Rhizoctonia solani, and has special effects on Botrytis cinerea.
