Stability	At room temperature, aqueous solutions undergo slow decomposition. The rate of decomposition increases at higher temperatures, in the presence of sunlight, on exposure to air, and in alkaline media.

Methomyl is a systemic insecticide, which can effectively kill the eggs, larvae and adults of many pests. It has a dual effect of contact, killing and stomach poison. When it enters the insect body, it suppresses the Acetylcholine, which plays an important role in insect nerve conduction. The Acetylcholine can not be broken down and the nerve impulse can not be controlled, causes the insects to startle, overexcite, paralyze, and Quiver, unable to feed on the crop, resulting in their eventual death. Insect eggs that come into contact with, chemicals usually do not survive the blackhead stage and die quickly, even if they hatch.

● Biochemistry:

Cholinesterase inhibitor. Mode of action: Systemic insecticide and acaricide with contact and stomach action.

● Uses:

Control of a wide range of insects (particularly Lepidoptera, Hemiptera, Homoptera, Diptera and Coleoptera) and spider mites in fruit, vines, olives, hops, vegetables, ornamentals, field crops, cucurbits, flax, cotton, tobacco, soya beans, etc. Also used for control of flies in animal and poultry houses and dairies.

● Application:

Methomyl is suitable for cotton, tobacco, fruit trees and vegetables to control aphids, moths, land tigers and other pests, and is a good alternative to control insecticide-resistant cotton aphids. This product is also used as an intermediate of Thiodicarb.

● Phytotoxicity:

Non-phytotoxic when used as recommended, except to some varieties of apple.
