Stability	Rapidly converted to photoisomer, 1-phenyl-3-(1,2,5-thiadiazol-3-yl)urea in presence of light (λ>290 nm). Hydrolytically stable at room temperature from pH 5-9. No decomposition in accelerated storage stability study (14 d, 54℃).

Thidiazuron is a kind of urea plant growth regulator, which has the activity of Cytokinin. It is a new type of high-efficiency cytokinin, which can better promote plant bud differentiation when used in tissue culture. It is used as defoliant in cotton planting. After being absorbed by the leaves of the cotton plant, the detached tissue between the petiole and the stem can be formed naturally and the leaves can fall off early, which is beneficial to the mechanical harvesting of cotton and to the advance of cotton harvest by 10 days or so, and to the improvement of cotton grade. Also can be used for apple trees, grape trees, hibiscus trees defoliation and beans, soybeans, peanuts and other crops, has a significant inhibitory effect. Low toxicity to humans and animals.

● Mode of action:

Plant growth regulator, absorbed by the leaves, which stimulates formation of an abscission layer between the plant stem and the leaf petioles, causing the dropping of entire green leaves.

● Uses:

Plant growth regulator with cytokinin activity. Mainly used as a defoliant for cotton, in order to facilitate harvesting. It can also be used for defoliating apple trees, grape vines, hibiscus, kidney beans, soybeans, peanuts and other crops. It has obvious inhibitory effect.
