Product Description
● Biochemistry:
Inhibits gibberellin biosynthesis.
● Mode of action:
Plant growth regulator, absorbed by the stems and roots, with translocation in the xylem to growing points.
● Uses:
Used to reduce lodging in rice; to reduce vegetative growth and increase flowering of ornamentals; and to reduce vegetative growth and the need for pruning in trees.
Uniconazole is a broad-spectrum and highly effective Triazole plant growth regulator, which has both bactericidal and herbicidal effects. It is an inhibitor of Gibberellin synthesis. It can control vegetative growth, inhibit cell elongation, shorten internode, dwarf plant, promote lateral bud growth and flower bud formation, and enhance stress resistance. It has strong growth inhibition on both herb and woody monocots, mainly inhibiting internode cell elongation, producing plant and growth retardation. The medicament is absorbed by the root of the plant and conducted in the plant. When the stems and leaves are sprayed, it can be sucked up and conducted, but it has no effect of conduction down. Uniconazole, meanwhile, is a synthetic inhibitor of ergosterol biology and has four stereoisomers. It has been proved that the e-isomers have the highest activity. Their structures are similar to those of Paclobutrazol except that Uniconazole has a carbon double bond and Paclobutrazol does not, at the same time, the e-type structure of Uniconazole was 10 times more active than that of Paclobutrazol. If the 4 isomers of Uniconazole are mixed together, the activity is greatly reduced.
The activity of Uniconazole is 6-10 times higher than Paclobutrazol, but the residue of Paclobutrazol in soil is only 1/10 of Paclobutrazol, so it has little effect on the following crops, but the leaves absorb less outward movement. It is suitable for rice, wheat, increasing tiller, controlling plant height and improving lodging resistance. The shape of a tree used to control vegetative growth in fruit trees. Used for ornamental plants to control plant shape, promote flower bud differentiation and more flowering.
